the Shaltari
Shaltari:
And ancient high tech race that values the warrior way they have known humanity for a long time but are still a mystery to them. they are only 4’ tall but make up for this by going into battle in battle suits and have some of the best troops in the game.
On par with the UCM for standard weapons power and range they tend to lack armour for the most part but make up with this with force fields and speed.
They are not cheap however and while there heavy units are some of the most versatile they are also some of the most expensive. Their troops are also powerful but in small squads and expensive. They do tend to have some of the more odd support units as well.
Ground units:
Both skimmers and walkers make up the Shaltari ground units. they all have average strength weapons but lack the armour of other races. There skimmers are the weakest armoured standard unit but instead depend on speed and there force fields to protect them. the heavy options. they do have the Ocelot heavy walker that has just about the most powerful weapon in the game mind.
Drop ships:
Some of the fastest drop ships in the game they are also the lease armoured and really heavy on their force fields. Unlike other races they teleport their forces in and you can teleport one unit in one gate and out another in one turn clear across the table. They are also not attached to one unit but can be temporally attached to a battle group each turn. They don’t tend to have weapons as such but they can perform a distortion attack to any aircraft that wonder to close.
Infantry:
Some of the best infantry in the game but in very small numbers and expensive to boot.
aircraft:
they have a decent interceptor that can also do ground attack runs but is very pricy for what it does and a gunship that is not too bad but is again pricy.
This is a general overview and there are exception.

Re: the Shaltari
How does the force fields work compared to armour? Does it soak damage or have a certain ammount of points?

Re: the Shaltari
The force field just gives you a invunrabal save, normally 5+ but can be 3+

Nope that is the dream walker or something like that. That one is also very good at killing troops as I recall
