How to paint ..... cowgirl

With the painting compo well under way now, again thank you all for taking part i thought id paint my cow girl up and let you guys know how i did it. and thought id do a few how to paint posts.


so here it goes.

first stard by undercoating the model i went with black. and paint the whites of the eyes the best way i found to do this is what i like to call the panda



and then put the dots in the eyes again the easiest way is start at the top middle of the eye and draw a line down though the middle of the eye.



the skin i have painted dark flesh the hair and coat in khemri brown and mordian blue on the jeans



guns boltgun metal scorched brown on the handles of the guns hat and boots and washed the hair with skin wash and paint the whole coat snakebite leather



As i am painting a female the skin tones are always lighter than that ok a male so i have done down to tallarn flesh, the guns have been washed badab black and the hat handles of the guns and belt painted bestial brown while the hair has been painted with a very watered down desert brown and the coat drybrusher bubonic brown



The skin has been painted leaving alittle of the last colour showing the coat has been drybrushed desert brown along the coat and jeans dry brushed ultramarine blue.







the hair has been highlighted bleached bone



highlight the edges of the hat and handles of the guns with vermin brown highlight the guns with chainmail highlight the boots with snakebite leather and drybrush ice blue on the jeans and fine highlight on the skin with bleached bone



undercoat the shirt adeptus battlegrey and when dry go over with astronomican grey making sure to leave alittle of the last colour and the base fully painted bubonic brown
