My friend was involved with the play testing and said there will be teams for each race they release but he is not sure if they will be all in one hit or as and when they release the new races.
He did say the miniatures look very good as dose the board.
He also said if you have saw the old speedball game it is a little like that lol

That looks COOL!! LOVE the Human Team Artwork, definately would buy a set of them, dual purpose as could use for Dreadball and Bloodbowl...

In true Thrudball-Scrounge style, I've just emailed Clive Parsons of Mantic to see if we can help him promote this at Thrudball with some Dreadball flyers, a preview of how the game plays, or hopefully a donation to the Thrudball auction

PLEASE can you talk to your friend and ask him if he can wangle it for Mantic to allow us to preview this game, or see if he can help us scrounge something? I understand we'd have to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement.

need to find the time and energy to get down to the Bognor club for more fun and games at some point.

Yay, got to have a demo game of dreadball last night…….. the game play was a little broken as we had to check rules a lot but seem to have lots of promise though my curse with all mantic board games still seems to hold true in that I can never roll more than a 3 no matter how mean dice I have lol.
Never played blood bowl so cannot compare it to that but it was fun. Should be having another go next week.

Matt said if you chaps want a demo to contact mantic and they will send one of their pathfinders along one evening (will probably be Matt).

yay ordered the striker set from the dreadball kickstarter =D
they are running out fast so get on there now if you are intrested.

Ok chaps if you go for the striker set on dreadball that cost $150 (around £92) then you get a whopping $335 in return and it keeps increasing as they reach more makers they add to it.
Also if you go for striker you can get a buy one get one free offer on teams for $25.

If you and a friend want you can get the cheerleader pledge and then you get two sets of the striker set and that works out a little cheaper each.
Well worth looking into chaps but hurry cos the striker deals are going fast and only 10 days left of the kickstarter deal.

Season one stuff should arrive in December and season 2 stuff should arrive 2Q of next year.

We are banished to the small hall on these two dates so are looking for small games to play on those evenings.

Also I'm hoping to drum enough interest up ion dreadball that between say 10 of us at £10 each we could get a set for the club.

no worrys chaps but if you want to invest in the striker deal there is only 6 days left and 87 packs left for a December delivery.

the current count is over 82 mins and if they meet there next mark it will be incresed to 85 with some spce elfs/eldar by another name. =D
not bad for £90

Those dates are after the KS ends so Any orders after that _might_ not be delivered until after Christmas. I don't know what they are holding back for retail.

If you want to guarantee pre-Christmas delivery, you need to jump on the kickstarter before the last pre-Christmas deals go!

well chaps i am sorry to say they have sold out of striker and jack deals for December delivery but they are taking orders for January delivery.

If they reach $500,000 then they will make season 3 ultimate dreadball with a bigger pitch and you can have 4 teams playing at once with either 2 vs 2 or all vs all and large 3 hex units like battle suits =D

It is well worth joining in even if it is just to spend $80 to get the basic game. Come on help us reach the next goal, but hurry it all ends on sunday

Well the dreadball kickstarter is over but dear lord was it good

They raised over $730,000 in the end to get the game off to a flying start and made sure that seasons 2 and 3 are in the pipeline along with season 4 looking good as well.

Season 1 is the basics with what I like to think as the warhammer fantasy list
Humans
Skaven
Orcs
Dwarfs

Season 2 you get some more interesting teams and things like coaches and cheerleaders that affect the game.
Teams are
Robots
Alien Judwan team of all strikers
Femail human team
And Z’zor bug team

Season 3 is the very nice ultimate arena where a new board is available and you can anything up to 6 teams playing on one area as well as new large units like giant robots battlesuits suits and monsters.
Teams are
Nameless (squid like race with guards)
Zees genetically engineered super chips that cheat like no one else
Asterians (Eldar)
Teratons (rock hard lizards that use teleporters)

Season 4 is dreadball extreme where it is illegal back street, dirty down dreadball =D
No news yet on teams for this as the kick starter ended just as we got the first MVP for it.

Each season and each team often have lots of MVP (most valued player) that they can use to boost them and they are grate fun in leagues as you end up having bidding wars over them

Any how I got me a good lot of this…….all of it infact So I should be getting the first lot in December so once I have put them together I can bring them down and give some people a game if you are interested.

Still well worth talking to mantic to get someone along to do a proper demo and also if you like the game let them know as they are happy to help support and promote events =D

You totally need some robotic medics like the ones on the Speedball game.

In dreadball when you are wounded you just get placed in the med bay. Fluff wise the means of this differ depending on the tech of the arena you are playing on. some have robots some have moving hex platforms and some just drag you off by your ankle lol.
But alas there is no mechanic for that in the game you just put them in the med bay for up to 3 turns…….

If you had partaken in the kick-starter you would have been able to suggest this and there is a chance they would have acted on it but it is a bit late now. Still worth contacting mantic about it as they are good lot and would probably consider it
