1500 pts tyranid list?

Ok guys some advice on my list. I have 1000pts i want to build from. My 1k list

HQ. Hive tyrant wings grin linked devoures 260 pts
Troops. 2 Tervigons scything talons catalyst toxic sacs adrenal glands and 20 termagants 500 pts
Elites. 3 hive guard 150 pts
Heavy support. 2 biovores 90 pts
Total 1000 pts

Now to not paint so much i was thinking on adding a tyrannofex rupture cannon regeneration 295 pts another 3 hive guard 150 pts and 1 more biovore 45 pts total 490 pts and give my hive tyrant toxic sacs grand total 1500 pts what u guys think?

Tyranofex is a lovely piece, I own one myself. But compared to Hive Guards, it is now redundant and overpriced. Buy more Hive Guards, definitely, and that is your anti tank covered. Adding a St10 shot for 300 points is unnecessary: what the St8 doesn't cover, your Hive Tyrant or some Rending Claws will.

What your army needs is some punch when attacking (you'll have to, Nids aren't good enough at shooting). And no, your Hive Tyrant is not enough: he'll be busy fighting ennemy flyers, tanks or simply getting shot at. Any decent list will eat your Tyrant alive; which is fine, but only if you have some punch or more threats for your opponent.

My favorites are Raveners or Warriors in Spore. I prefer the Raveners (take the toxin sacs and rending claws, always), they're fast, ignore terrain, hug easily the cover, have crapload of attacks and will start on the board (2 threats with the Tyrant). Try and use them outside of synapse to give them Rage (+2 attacks on charge) when they fail their synapse test)

If properly equiped Warriors are better in CC, but they will be in reserve and won't be useful straight away: your Tyrant dies turn 1, then your Warriors drop in the middle of nowhere without cover, turn 2, and die. They're also worth 2 kill points... The Synapse isn't useful yet, as your backfield is covered and your assault force doesn't need any (when you build towards 2k, that'll be better - Gargoyles anyone?).

I'd say 3 Hive guards, your extra Biovore for fun, and Raveners (2 squads would be ideal).

Can always add another 6 hive guard and a trygon.
Thanks for the info i like raveners and will be looking into them in more detail. I know what u mean with the fex lol but for some reason i just want 1. Like a moth to the light stay away from the fex i cant help it its so beautiful lol. But ye i love the big nids as i have almost finished my 2nd tervigon. Problem with that is the 72 termagants that went with it. So a bit painted out.

I'm a fan of medium size nids, which raveners are. They're fun to paint and you only need about 6 per squad.

I know what you mean about the Fex, that's why I bought one But in 5th it was kind of useful while the HP system didn't exist... Now there's just no need for him

Forgot about the trygon. Scary! Why not, I'd rate it with warriors for the same reasons: awesome to have, but I'd wait until 2k.

Reading all this: cannot wait till the 'nids get their new codex. Nids were the first ever army I collected, in fact Genestealers were the first models I bought.

However on the subject of genestealers I have now come to the conclusion that the normal ones are a bit lacking now but the ymgarl ones are epic
