ARBBL Open 1st/2nd March 2014

Just a heads up for next year - the ARBBL Open Blood Bowl tournament will be returning. I hope some of the BRGAers can make it.

The ARBBL club is proud to announce the ARBBL Open 2014, our 7th annual Blood Bowl tournament.

Impact order: Impact! is offering us a prize support for the ARBBL. Place an order with me to send to Impact! that you will pick up at the ARBBL and pay for it with me in advance and you will get 10% off your total order. In addition, Impact! will give the ARBBL event prize support equal to 20% of the value of the order before the 10% discount. So if you order 50 GBP worth of items you'll receive them for 45 GBP and the ARBBL will get 10 GBP in prize support. All orders must be made to me so I can place them and pay Impact! for them no later than January 31, 2014.

Excellent mate. It's actually looking hopeful for me at Thrud to - falls between the dates I had to choose in August, so hopefully I'll finally make my Thrud debut.

Hey BRGANs, isn't there anyone tempted by this?

I guarantee you'll learn more about bloodbowl at a tourney than in the league, particularly about winning tactics and team set ups.

Plus this tourney is so far under-subscribed, increasing your chances of maybe getting a higher final position - who knows, you might even WIN!

And the guys that are signed up are a real mix of competitive vs madcap vs just there for the BEER vs lightning fast... and as i am going, we can car share...

I'll drive, simply have to sort out the issue of not having a car yet...

Wonder if could borrow the company pool car  ?

Note staying over Saturday night mate, so you need to work a night at a B&B into the cost - still doable?

Andover's a Longish drive, b&B Saturday night will set you back £40

I'm not sure whether foods in the ticket price ... maybe but if so it's CHEAP!

No food in ticket price but the venue is almost in the town centre, so plenty of places to get food, and in the past people have had pizzas delivered.

And if you're staying over, we normally hit the "all-you-can-eat" chinese in town then the pubs (both before and after). Think the chinese is about £15 (give or take) - obviously you're more than welcome.

Count me IN! I'm a short stagger from the venue, so am likely to be PARTYING!

Elvis the wife has said I can have our car if I cannot find an alternative, of course this leaves her and the kids stranded in Boxgrove all weekend, but maybe if her mum isn't working she might pick them up.

Although ideally a few more BRGANs might join us, one of which might drive instead, fingers crossed.
