Gambit Games Gaming Convention, 27/09/14 Hove Town Hall

Hi, I am trying to spread the word about the club I belong to (Gambit Games) and it's upcoming gaming convention in Hove, held on the 27th September.

The Iconic Legion will be there collecting on behalf of The Chestnut Appeal (The iconic legion will be there as Batman, Judge Dredd, Stormtroopers, etc)

Prodos and Mantic games will be there demo ing new games

Black Box games – originators of the ever popular Lords of War card game (and local Worthing company) will be putting on demo’s and Tournaments. These guys have just come back from demos and hosting a tournament in Germany.

Dog Eared Games (hail from Chichester) will be putting on demo’s and tournaments.

Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh (card based) will have there own Tournaments being held. On the pokemon side, you also had an article on a local lad who came first in the UK Championships. He went onto to represent GB in the Worlds Championships (where he finished in the top 64). He will be there and might even be hosting the tournament.

Bolt Action, Warmachine, X wing and Heroclix (miniatures based) will all be having their own tournaments.

The event will be running from 10am – 10pm at the Hove Town Hall  (we are also hopefully having a local band play in the evening,  State of the Masses is the band currently being looked into, one of our members is the bass guitarist)

As it reads at the moment it is more miniatures and card based games for the tournaments but we are planning on board games, small group games for the evening session (and throughout the day). You can get more details from our webpage

It is being held at Hove Town Hall on Saturday 27th September and we are running it as a family event.

As a club we turn out every last Sunday of the month for a whole day event in Portslade and every Tuesday evening at a local pub in Shoreham.

Please do look at our website and let me know what you think, also feel free to pass this information on to anyone you think would be interested. I personally am hosting the X-wing tournament and have entered the Lords of War one.
