I am also looking for a campaign game on the 17th
But seeing as I can’t get down before 8:30 I am limited to 1500 max.
So if Elvis can’t play you then I can or I can play anyone else for that matter so line up
got a Biel-Tan list with 5 asspect squads to create

Hi Elvis I hope you had fun at the football.
Ryan thanks for the game and welcome to the hobby.
Was thinking about what you could do for tactics.
One thing you could do with your current force is use the Rhino and Razorbacks as a mobile wall.
In short turn them sidewise and move them up the table (I recommend they are empty) with the bikes and assault troops moving up behind them. the rhino/razorback will get destroyed in short order but most likely wrecked so blocking line of site for the rest of the game and you can them move over/round them with your faster units intact ready to assault.
Land raiders are nice but a lot of points for not a lot of firepower, they are however ideal for an assault vehicle as they will most likely survive to get your units into assault so it might be worth taking a unit of terminators or a full squad of assault marines (without jump packs) but that dose get pricy.
Also like I said don’t feel you have to upgrade everything. Heavy weapons and special weapons for squads fine but things like power fists and swords are quite pricy and only worth it if you are planning on getting into combat. plasma pistols can be handy but again the same price as a plasma gun but with less range and rate of fire.
The same with the veteran squads, you might be better off with more tactical squads then a few veteran squads armed to the teeth.
Always premeasure range, those units that got out the transports could have been in rapid fire range and there for been more likely to get some kills in, as it was they were out of range as they were positioned.
Also don’t be afraid to move backwards out of assault range, I did mention about moving the tactical squad back to shoot the hawks so the scorpions would have had a harder time getting into combat.
All in all you did well as you have only had a few games and the Eldar are tricky little blighters and I know how to use them (though I did get lucky at the end there) at one point I was worried I would have to many units tied up in combat they could not win and not get to the objectives.
I recommend getting drop pods, but if you do get 3 to make the most of them. they are also very handy for creating a wall that all but blocks line of site past them.
Defence lines are also very handy as they guarantee you cover and have a handy AA weapons system. they also act as bait as people will normally be drawn to them.
Air craft are always handy but unpredictable in that they might not turn up for ages and I have not really seen the Dark angel ones in action but I do know they have a ground attack one that can be handy to have and there interceptor one is not too bad from what I have heard.
Also don’t forget you can get allies from other imperial forces to help you out.
