Greetings!
Hello!
My names Adam and I have an addiction to giving GW money.
I've recently (ish) got back into 40k after a 14 year break and was introduced to someone (James, maybe?) in wicor models some months ago. He told me about forums and I've lurked ish since.
I've finally got bored of painting and think I starting to get the hang of 7e 40k and would love to join you guys and finally play some games and meet some like minded people. Any info on the hows whens wheres whys and whats would be awesome
Apologies if this is the wrong place, I couldn't find an intro section.
Cheers!
Adam.

Re: Greetings!
Hi Adam and welcome to the BRGA
what do you collect?
We meet at the Newtown social club every Tuesday from 6:30 and you are more than welcome to come along
Link --newtown
We have to pay £12 to join the social club each year and it is £2 to play games and 50p to watch.
We got a lot of us playing star trek next week but feel free to pop down and say I and get to know people as our main love is 40K
As you have probably seen we are running a 40k campaign at the moment and it is not too late to join in there and once that is over I plan to start up paint club once a month and give some lessons in war gaming.

Re: Greetings!
Welcome to the BRGA, Adam.
As Alex said, feel free to pop down, get to know us (We don't bite that much), and see if you enjoy yourself haha. 40k is definitely one of the more played games here, although if you've been lurking I'm sure you already can guess.
I hope to see you around club sometime, if you decide to come pop in and check it out!

Re: Greetings!
Thanks for the warm welcome
Hmm, probably a little info on what I collect would have helped.
I am an Ork player I guess. 1000-1500pt ish painted I think with some more waiting for the Dettol/on the painting table.
I'm just starting an Ad Mech army as the Skitarii are too beautiful not to have a go at.
The campaign might be a bit of a stretch atm, as I am really rusty to say the least.
Although I started as a 40K gamer, I'm really interested in starting Warmachine/Infinity or something more skirmish based if you have much interest in that sort of thing. I'm off to Salute this weekend, so who knows what I may end up with
I'll definitely try and pop down next week. I'm pretty easy to spot. I'll be the really confused looking 6' guy with the goatee that puts most Schnauzer dogs to shame.

Re: Greetings!
The ad mech aren't really off the sprue yet. Decided to do a proper job and magnetise them / clean them properly etc and I am waiting for a few tools in the post.
I was pretty much done with my Orks and the whole Mars / radiation rules really flicks my fluff switch. Going to try and get a decent battle maniple and then add in the assassins formation for some serious dakka. That should be ~1000 pts at a guess. Then wait and see what the rumoured Ad Mech stuff is.

Re: Greetings!
Welcome to BRGA!
Sorry I wasn't the first to welcome you, but I'm old and slow, these young whipper-snappers with their fast typing...
We'd love to see you Tuesday, the Star Trek is a one-evening introductory tourney with GREAT prizes and only a £5 buy-in (£1 for under 18's).
but we also play 40k, Bloodbowl, Warmachine & Hordes, Necromunda, Flames of War, Firestorm Armada, Dystopean Wars, Roleplay Games, Perudo, Card Games, all sorts!
Plus we've raised nearly £30k for local charities (this year we're fundraising for the Snowdrop Trust and the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation), mainly through our Thrud The Barbarian themed Bloodbowl Tournament, Thrudball, in it's 10th Year in August .
If you're of a certain age, you might recall Thrud from White Dwarf magazines back in the 80's...
Well, Thrud is our official Club Mascot.
See you Tuesday?
Frank

Re: Greetings!
Had to check I didn't have something planned for Tuesday, but got out of that. Really looking forward to the Star Trek tourny, I've wanted to try X-Wing for a while as it looks like a blast.
I was just a touch too young for Bloodbowl in it's prime, but I enjoy the PC versions and am a big NFL fan. Somehow I have managed to pick up a tabletop Orc team, but not painted them or played in the flesh.
I've never been to Newton before, is it obvious where you guys meet? or is the club relegated to a dungeon somewhere

Re: Greetings!
Which direction you coming from? Do you know the arena sports centre, its close to that?
The Newtown is at 16a Greencourt drive, po21 5eu.
If you come from Bognor train station, take station road to linden road to collyer avenue to Greencourt drive, all of which are in a straight line. Were 10 minutes walk from the station.
