3k Chaos vs Dark Eldar

Army lists were:
DE: Asdrubael Vect, the Duke, Grotesques, Blood Brides, 4 squads of 10 Wyches, 10 Wracks, 15 Hellions, 9 Reavers, Beastmasters, 3 Ravagers; all infantry were in Raiders

Chaos: Daemon Prince, Abaddon, 2 squads of Terminators, Plague Marines and Thousand Sons in Rhino, Noise Marines, Havocs, Raptors, 3 Bikes, Defiler, Land Raider

Mission is Annihilation, deployment Pitch Battle.
Darke Eldar win the roll off, but decide to go second to see the ennemy's deployment and try stealing the initiative.


Turn 1 - Chaos:

- Daemon Prince flies towards the Beastmasters, lash them out of their deployment zone, allowing some Obliterators to kill a few Beasts and then the Prince assaults, killing a few, but losing 2 wounds
- Two Rhino pop smoke
- Dreadnought runs MAD !!!
- Ravager in the middle gets immobilised by the Land Raider
- Raider on right flank explodes thanks to the Havocs
- Hellions are killed by the Defiler's Battle Canon and run away


Turn 1 - Dark Eldar:

- The Reavers turboboost over the Bikes killing two
- Squad of Wyches on the right flank disembark, charges the last bike and finish him
- All 15 Dark Lances on the vehicules don’t do anything in the shooting phase, targeting both Rhinos, Defiler, Dreadnought, and Land Raider
- Khymeras keep dying, protecting the Razorwings, who in return finish the Demon Prince
- The three squads of Wyches then try to have a go at the Rhino in close combat with their Haywire Grenades, nope...

Kill points at the end of Turn 1: DE 2 vs Chaos 2

Turn 2 - Chaos:

- On the left flank, the whole squad of Wyches is picked one by one by the Obliterators, the Noise Marines and the Thousand Sons
- In the center, the Dreadnought seeks revenge for the Daemon Prince and charges the Beasts
- Vect’ Raider is immobilised by the Land Raider; he’ll now have to go for a walk
- Abaddon and his Terminators get out and in conjunction with the Defiler, kill the Jetbikes
- On the right flank, the Wyches are being picked by the Plague Marines in their Rhino
- Raider is Wrecked by the Havoc
- Greater Deamon take possession on a Plague Marine, attaking the Wyches that harass the Rhino; unfortunately he dies under the impressive number of attacks of the Wyches

Turn 2 - Dark Eldar:

- The Rhino on the right flank is immobilised
- Wyches try to have a go at the Defiler, it take forever, but it will stop it from shooting or charging and with luck, they’ll get it
- The other squad of Wyches reembarks while the last one on the right flanks keeps having a go at the same Rhino
- Meanwhile, Vect walks in the middle, and in combination with the two Ravagers they pick all the Terminators, leaving Abaddon alone
- On the left flank the Obliterators get assaulted by the Blood Brides and the Duke, kill one and win combat but get stuck another turn (thank god)
- The Wracks get out; a few shots from the Raiders later, the Thousand Sons escape their transport and are charged by the Wracks


Kill points at the end of Turn 2: DE 5 vs Chaos 5

Turn 3 - Chaos:

- On the left flank, the Aspirant Sorcerer grant a the Acothyst with a Gift of Chaos; he’s transformed instantly in a nice ball of flesh, a Spawn
- One of the Raiders gets immobilised
- The Blood brides and the Duke finish the Obliterators and consolidate towards the Noise Marines
- The combat with the Dreadnoughts and the Beasts keeps going, and keeps going...
- In the middle, a squad of Raptors and a squad of Terminators comes in for reinforcement while the Land Raider shows his nose; the second Ravager is immobilised
- On the right flank, Abaddon runs for the last Raider full of Wyches and wrecks it
- The Plague Marines pick the remaining Wyches one by one and the combat with the Defiler keeps going

Turn 3 - Dark Eldar:

- On the left flank the Blood brides and the Duke assault the Noise Marines, get rid of them quite easily, and come back for more, now with 3 Pain Tokens
- The Wracks manage to get rid of both the squad of Thousand Sons and the Spawn, earn two kill points and now becoming Fearless
- And another turn of fighting for the Beasts
- In the middle the Raiders try this time to have a go at the Land Raider, but... No...
- Vect and his Grotesques go for the second unit of Terminators and the Raptors at the same time, which ends up with losses on both sides
- On the right flank the Wyches leave Abaddon with their wrecked transport and go for the Havocs

Kill points at the end of Turn 3: DE 9 vs Chaos 7

Turn 4:

- On the left flank, the Dreadnought finally finishes with the Beasts and consolidates to its next prey
- Meanwhile, the two Raiders try to get the Dreadnought before it gets to the Blood brides; removing its close combat weapon
- The Wracks decide it’s safer in an Immobilised Raider than in the open.
- In the middle, Abaddon defies Vect and despite a couple of wounds taken, kills him right away
- During the following turn, the Raptors fall under the fists of the Grotesques that decide to go away from Abaddon and another Terminator falls under the shots of the Ravagers
- On the right flank, the Plague Marines decide to get out and have a go at the Wyches to help the Defiler out; after two turn of combat, the Hekatrix gets rid of them with her Agoniser and the rest of the Wyches start going through the Defiler’s armor


Kill points at the end of Turn 4: DE 11 vs Chaos 9


Turn 5:

- On the left flank, after a nice Plasma canon shot and assault, the Dreadnought reaches combat and gets rid of half of the Squad
- The Wracks changes transport, to be able to assist on the right flank; they’ll not get there in time... Meanwhile the other Raiders gets shot down by the Land Raider
- Abaddon catches up with the Grotesques and kills them right away while the last Terminator explodes the immobilised Ravager


Kill points at the end of Turn 5: DE 11 vs Chaos 12


Turn 6:

- Abaddon keeps going his slaughter and goes to the nearest Immobilised Raider, we all know what happens; but he then finds himself in the open and the Ravagers finish him off
- The last Terminator tries to reach combat on the right, but won’t be there before the end
- The Wyches on the right flank finally get rid of the Havocs and now try and go for the Defiler
- On the left side, a sad day, the Duke dies, his Shadow Field failing him; the Blood Brides start then to cry and run away (don't get destroyed though)

Kill points at the end of the game: DE 13 vs Chaos 14

Don't mean to err, be a stick in the mud, but it's impossible to tell what are raiders and what are ravagers.

Ravagers are the ones with the pointy stick on their sides.
Raiders are just plain or have some several bits on it (embarked)
Not the best way to see I agree.
Tried to use some colors on bases to differentiate the rest of the units.

Orange is a special weapon or a different model in the unit
Pink is the boss amongst this unit
Blue would represent veterans of an existing unit

After that, yeah you really need to look at it, but in fullsize I think it's ok.

can u guys tell me how u got all those kill points as i got 11 for u 13 for me on the end of the 1st turn it was 2-1 to me dp didnt die till turn 2, good work part from that

make that 12 as my codex does not say the spawn is worth any kill points

well the net says they are so im sure in frencheys mind that means it is gw faq dont say they are but also i can choose not to put a model on the field so no big loss i can kill u and not put a spawn on

Oh I was sure the Daemon Prince died in the first turn (DE turn), and turn 2 you assaulted the Beasts with the Dreadnought. Doesn't change much though at the end.

Any unit is a KP and a Spawn is no different (even though you invoked it and it's not on your army list) And yeah you can choose NOT to put a model on the field; your Thousand Sons would just have died much quicker

And I recounted your KP as I redid the game (several times ) We definitely got 13 points (Daemon Prince, Abaddon, Spawn, 1 squad of Termies, Noise Marines, Thousand Sons and Rhino, Plague Marines, Bikes, Raptors, Obliterators, Havocs, Greater Daemon) You had lots of small units.
For us it's one more than we thought (14 instead of 13) as I think we had forgotten Abaddon killed the Raider next to the ruin in the middle.
