Points costs for conversions
Hi, Tom here.
Just curious to know what rules we'll be using for the points costs on conversions. For instances, as I mentioned on Tuesday, I had a make-shift turret armed with two las-cannons. A rhino converted into half a predator, etc. I was just wondering how we'd scale that in terms of points?

Re: Points costs for conversions
Hi Tom
I guess there are a few options for this, depending on the scenario or game being played, you could:
1) use it as a 'counts as' rule ie this is a predator anhilator etc- this has the benefit of allowing you to use your model in every game without your opponent questioning it
2) Is there some rules for working out point costs in apocalypse for your own creations?- not sure would have to check that one
3) Arrange 'special scenario or mission games' ahead of time so that you and your opponent can play a game with all kinds of conversions and unique models
4) say to hell with the points and use it as it is eg a predator with a HUGE turret, or allow your opponent some extra points or benefit
as a compensation
I think what Im saying is that as long as your opponent agrees for friendly games maybe its best not to get too worried over points costs and just give it a go, if it turns out that it stomps on everything then perhaps its a bit too powerful lol
what does everyone else think on this one?
