Paul, that's very true, plus there's the model and game range meaning that there's a greater variety of colour to choose from.
Charlie, I am actually planning on trying out some Reaper paints, I think the nearest store is in Exeter but at least you can order them online for slightly less than GW.

Re: Seriously, wtf?!
I for one might buy the odd pot as I need/run out of them. Bit bummed by the fact that I need X paint still to finish exisitng projects, but hopefully have enough. I tend to use vallejo/GW/P3 and even some Tamiya stuff on most projects and I dont really see that changing tbh
However Im most annoyed by the washes being discontinued. I know there are alternatives to GW washes but I prefered their take on them. If they had just xpanded the range then I would be appluading.

But their washes ARE back Steve
I actually like what they've done, a big extensive choice of paints, washes and other. Sure, they don't have as much choice or are more expansive than Vallejo, but their entire range is "idiot proof", nicely labelled "Coat", "Washes", "Glaze"... which makes it easy to choose. Theire tutorial are very well done as well and White Dwarf for example gives clear examples on how to use the range.
Someone like me, not very good at painting, not knowing much about it and having not much time to spend in looking for the good color and type in the rather confusing Vallejo website, finds the whole thing pretty handy.

true, but I look forward to being convinced that there as good as the devlan mud love I had
But I will concede that you may be right that it will help people to choose colours in a base/shade/highlight sequence easier.
So now you can paint all those guardsman and empire state troops then Stephane?
