my Dropzone commander miniatures painted so far

Here are some pics of the stuff I have painted so far. All PHR forces but got some Shaltari to do after this.

All units are magnetised to be carried by drop ships with tuneable turrets and engines

Had my first game of Dropzone commander Wednesday night and can say I enjoyed it despite the need to keep looking up rules as I am not 100% on them.

The PRH are hard as nails and pack a mean punch but not very fast.
My Shaltari put up a good fight and despite not having the fire power to hit back the game was a draw thanks to my gate ships allowing me to get two objectives off the table.

It is a nice game that rewards balanced players with a balanced list and it hard to spam units meaning you have to think about what you take and how to use them.
Looking forward to my next game and with luck my shaltari will be painted up and I will take some pics

Yay had my 2nd game of DzC last night =D


We were using the basic starter sets for both PHR and the Shaltari with 7 objectives to grab from the buildings on the table.

I took the Shaltari and having learned my lessons from my first game did not go and take on the big bad PHR units head on (phobos are very nasty) but used the gates to get my tomahawk and kukri tanks to flank the PHR forces and take on the transports and infantry he needed to get away with the objectives.

My own infantry after grabbing a couple of objectives and passing them on to be extracted got pinned down by two Aries walkers and there Neptune drop ship and a not so productive fire fight broke out with them unable to hit my infantry in the building and my infantry unable to harm his walkers.

I might have won on objectives but I lost a good 3rd of my vehicles doing so.

Need to build both sides up to include heavies and support units as well as commanders as the command cards are able to add some more spice to a game.

I took some pics so will try and get them up at some point soon =D

if anyone is interested i would be happy to sort out a Tuesday to pop down and have a little demo game

got me some command units as well as scouts, light dropships and heavy options for both my factions just have to paint them up.

really enjoyed the few games i have had so far but will be interesting to see how it plays on a larger scale

The mins are really nice and grate detail for the size =D

They are pricey but I have seen them with up to 30% at time and cheaper than GW Epic =D

There is an open day in London on Saturday 26th if anyone is interested but I cannot go as it’s my kids birthday doh
But he is showing new units they have planned and tournaments as well :=)

I have two factions so I can bring them down for a demo game if anyone is intrusted once I have some free time that is =D

I like the look of this game, the miniatures look very nice and even more so to your great paint job!

well i am planning on popping down next week and am happy to demo a game though i am a bit rusty on the tules lol

really would like to give this a go soon, was planning of buying some at salute but im not sure

lol thought we where on about Dreadball lol.

DzC is lots of fun but very pricey but you can get upto 30% off online. also they have just released a very nice card set for £30 with eveyrthing you need for a 6-4 table terrain.

have a look up at salute and see if you get a demo game in.
i could bring down what i have tonight if you like as i have had no other offers but wont be able to bring anything down for a while after that as i am in the 40k knock out.

yeah that would be great would like to try the PHR if thats ok? and dreadball? we weren't talking about dreadball?

and i have been looking at the card city for a while now on the wayland games website and they do it for £26-£27?

I have been talking about dredball on another tread a lot and did not realise this one had been resurrected lol

Currently at salute and just bought over £110 worth of stuff for dzc. Got rule book, card city wich is only £15 here and a ucm sarter army with a few extra bits from wayland games

very nice look forward to giving you a game some time soon
