Demos of Mantic games including Dreadball

Hi frank and indeed everyone else.

My friend Matt who is a pathfinder wanted me to ask if you chaps where interested in him pop along along to do a demo of any of the mantic games.

So that is
Kings of war
Warpath
Dwarfs kings hold (board game)
Project Pandora (board game)
dreadball (board game)

Both kings of war and warpath are menat to be large scale but Warpath is still under development rules wise……. Should be a kickstarter for it next year by the way.

I can confirm that Kings of war is a very nice and quick system to play I am not a fan of fantasy games but even I enjoy a game of KoW now and then cos it is so quick and straightforward. We had a apoc size game in about half the time it would take in WFB.
Best of all is you can use the rules with your existing WFB armies as both systems have similar units.
So no need to go and get a whole new army for a lot of lists

When were you thinking of doing this demo?

You would have to sort that out with mantic via the email I provided in the 1st post and then they would send a pathfinder over or maybe more than one if you wanted lots of demos.

The closest pathfinders I know of are in Worthing so they should be fine to make Tuesday nights

James, I've already emialed Stewart at Mantic, but need to know what systems you want demo's for, sounds like Kings of War mainly...

to be honest I don't know much on Dwarf Kings hold or project pandora

alex, are you familiar with these?

I have played both but seem to be cursed at both of them lol but they are a good giggle.
They are a bit like space hulk with changeable board sections and missions but you have random number of action points to use each turn.
Ideal for if you are in the small room due to the big room being taken up

Well worth a look at and they both went down well at salute

You can't go wrong with a bit of KoW and Dreadball. Not adverse to the other games either.

I might pop down for a bit tomorrow. Don’t know if I will bring anything for a game nor not but it would be nice to see what you chaps are up to.
And I happy to sharer any of experiences playing the few mantic games I have done so far =)

Sorry I did not make it last night was not feeling all that well when I got home and decided to stay in and get on painting the rest of my DzC stuff almost there =D

Stewart Gibb of Mantic has tentatively proposed some Demo Games either Early Dec or Early Jan...

Personally I think new year, new game, but what is the concensus?
