Apologies from Hayley of Newtown
Following the discussions with the barstaff last night about BRGA alledgedly damaging the dancefloor, I've spoken candidly with Hayley and she has asked me to pass on her apologies.
She advised me her text to the barstaff did not ask them to accuse us of anything, simply to ask us to be careful of the new floor, which cost the club £3000 to refurbish.
Also from what she told me, I believe the damage we were looking at wasn't even what the concerns were aimed at.
It is still ok for us to use the whole hall for our gaming, including the dancefloor. I'm going to see if I can source some Rubber parts from rejects at work (I work in a plastic facory) that could be used as chair and table leg floor protectors.
However, so as we can continue to give Newtown ZERO reason to complain about this, sorry this is stating simple common sense, please DO NOT let the bar staff see any BRGA Member
(a) slam or drop from height tables or chairs into the floor (not like we would, that takes effort )
(b) lean chairs on two legs (health and safety risk also )
(c) drag your stilleto heels on the floor ( (i only wear mine on the weekends )
Any SNIFF of another mention on this topic from ANYONE at Newtown, please go through ME, and I will tackle it at committee level.
Cheers Lads!
