FREE BEER!!! Bloodbowl Virgins Tournament / New Bloodbowl League 16/11/10

Knew the words "FREE BEER!!!!" would grab your attention...see below for details.

We will be starting a new perpetual Bloodbowl League (with at least two divisions in fact) on 23/11/10.

As quite a few of you either have little or no Bloodbowl experience, I will run the Bloodbowl Virgins Mini tournament again 16/11/10 (same format as last time) to encourage new coaches to sign up.

I will also donate a FREE BEER for the Best Virgin in the mini tournament.

We will play the league once every three weeks or so, so people wanting to participate in the 40k campaign or Roleplaying have time to fit their matches in.

We will have two or three divisions subject to numbers, and will play each other prior to promoting / relegating top and bottom placed players. Garry and Mike prefer drawing lots to see which league you start in, I favor a pro division and a virgins division, so the virgins don't get demoralised being slayed at the start (remind me of this when the virgins all thrash me!).

I'd appreciate it if virgins interested in the Mini Tournament could let me know by 9/11 which teams they want to play, so i can sort my painted teams out in their boxes. I'll also need the help of as many pro's on the night as possible please, to teach the basics and coach the virgins first match.

Why not give Bloodbowl a go, you can't POSSIBLY be crapper at it than I am!!!!

I will have a spare human team for that day... how much gold are they going to be starting with?

Will be TR100, and I think I'm ok for teams Charlie thanks, but would appreciate it if you could help with the Crash course in Bloodbowl Tuition between 7:00-7:30 PM....and to act as assistant coach to both teams during the preliminary round.

Will need one "pro" for each pair of Virgins...

I will come with preselected TR100 Teams and probably let people choose their side on a first-come first-served basis.

Then they play a preliminary round of 2 halfs of 4 turns each from 7:30 - 8:30pm, and get a score for TD's, Casualties (including Fouls and Crowd Casualties), Completions and Interceptions

The top Two scoring Virgins will then play a full match, the winner hopefully ffinishing before last orders so he can get his FREE BEER!!!!

In short, the same format as the last time we did this...

C'mon you bloodbowlers!!!

We only had four competitors but thanks to all the Assistant Refs and to Sam, Ryan, Tony and Richard for competing...

In a close final Sam was narrowly beaten by Tony by an 11th hour Blitz action (damn those Skinks!)...

Next Tuesday I will present an award to Tony and Sam, and present Tony with his Free Beer...

If I can get hold of Mark & Alf's 2ltr Beer Tankard, we'll see if tony can beat the Thrudlike challenge of downing two pints in under 16 seconds...!
