If I have upgraded my HQ, can I change the configuration of his retinue?
The upgrade only concerns the character himself, so you can choose to change the squads weapons for example, or even the entire retinue.

Can I play a game with my HQ, upgrade him, then change to a different one and then go back to my upgraded one?
If you decide to change HQ from one game to the other - want a cheaper HQ for example - you'll lose your upgrades; he will lead your force until he dies or you find someone better! The only exception is a game of 500 points or under: you can freely choose to change HQ temporary without losing the upgrades, as your main Leader can delegate the smaller raids.

If I choose to spend some resources on the HQ, is it just mine or my teammate's HQ benefit from the upgrade as well?
One HQ per player benefits from the upgrade and each player can choose which one to take.

Say Vect is my hero HQ. Someone challenges me to a 1k game. I have to field Vect else lose all his upgrades?
A Battle Group challenges another Battle Group. The Commander will decide who fights. So obviously in a small points games, don't send your upgraded maxi extra 999 points HQ, ask one of your team mates to replace you.
Or you can choose to pass and not get any resources the next turn...

What is a Major/Minor Victory?
For a Major Victory, the winning player needs to have twice or more points and at least 2 points difference on the final score.
For example: 2-0; 3-1; 4-2; 5-2; 1200-600...
Any other result is a Minor Victory.
