a goodbye to warhammer 40k 5th edition apocalypse game

as the title says steve read my mind and asked if i would be up for a farewell to 5th with a apoc game at club.


rules 4v4 teams 2k each player. people have to be there before 6:30 (help set up)

a ref lets say frank dont need to know rules but somebody that can keep the game rolling.

there are limited space in it so only sign up if u can commit know a fair ammount of rules (game will move quicker) and have the points cost.

does anyone by chance have the templates?

Depends on the date, but I can bring the pain if you like.

What sort of assets and stuff are we allowed to use, I'm pretty rusty when it comes to Apoc.

Anything you want, no limit in FoC.

I'll be there (what date is it?), on whichever side I need to be.

We need u and ben on on good we are full on evil and good will be full. Talk at club on Tuesday we need to miss small hall dates but otherwise we just need templates and are gd to go. Maybe club funded there like £15 I think?

will review the rules this afternoon and maybe put up some suggestions for assets etc and other factors that we can decide upon. Basically if we work out as much stuff before hand then we can optimize the time we have on the evening we play




OK So I've had a brief look at the rules and think that the following will work (feel free to C&C) and ofc Elvis will have the final say!

1. 8k aside means a table roughly 8'X12' which means short people like me may need a hand to move their models!

2. 4 players per team means 4 strategic assets per side- I suggest we each pick one each-for those not familiar with them they provide buffs etc-I will bring the book down this Tuesday and we can all pick them (no team may have the same one twice)

3 we play to a time limit-when that is reached we play on until each side has had the same number of turns i.e good side has had 3 turns bad has had 4 and the time runs out then we play out one more turn for the good guys.

4. The time limit should be set with enough time left at the club to ensure we can each have that time remaining. Therefore something like play from 19:30-22:30 with time left for extra turn. This means we need to be prompt in arriving (as much as possible ofc) and set up as quickly as possible, this leads to...

5. we Bid (as a team) in secret for the amount of time we think we will need to set up our combined forces, The team with the lowest bid sets up first but ONLY has a five minute period to discuss deployment-then they set up with the time limit they bid. Any units not setup or part setup when this limit is reached go into reserve. The opposite team then does the same.

6. AFTER deployment each team places three objectives. We then play!

Hurm prob best not the points would be huge we will see

with out a FoC i can get about 8 models for 2000pts i reckon that should be enough spacewolves to hold up the entire forces of chaos

This happening this coming Tuesday as next Tuesday will be 6th Ed?

We never said it had to be before 6th came out. I don't think so as rich can't come down for the next few weeks
