Do we have any imps or ork players btw? Or maybe dark elder? I may build a 2nd army with my nids just to mix up the gameplay a bit and the painting. so just to keep it interesting i wanted to know what the club is short on?.

Lol ye thay also look tricky to paint so i think thats what swung it for me as i liked the fact out of the 3 i mentioned Orks dark elder and guard i think for a novice gamer and painter the guard are for me.

they are as tricky to paint as you want them to be. guard can be tricky if you go with camo patterns something orks and dark eldar done use.
dark eldar can be very easy to paint with just black base coat and a little bit of green highlights Very Happy.

to be fair you can not go far wrong with a squad of imps and a trusty transport but have a chat with some of the gamers in club who have imps before you start Very Happy.

Yes will do mate. Love what i have read with the orders etc. but ye would love to see your dark elder as i have never seen them in battle just been told a few scary things about them ie poison as a nid player thats bad. But any info for a new player im happy to listen.

Smile dark eldar have a glass jaw.
they can hit hard but can not take much punishment at all. but unlike other armies they can get harder as the game goes thanks to the pain tokens.

as a nid player watch out for their splinter weapons, you will outnumber then mind you so your best bet is to get in there and mix it up with large untits of the little bleeders. also knock out there transports as soon as you can. Very Happy

In more detail but still basic

Step one: take out the transports
Step two: shoot there assault troops cos they is nasty in combat
Step three: shoot/assault the gun line so they cannot shoot you
    Step four: process biomass.

That is very basic still and you can do mutable steps in a turn depending on what you have where.

You want large units of your little chaps cos for every unit a dark eldar units kills then it gets a pain token and you really don’t want them getting a pain token.

well that big bad momma could help lots allowing the smaller units get up close and giving the target something to think about lol.

Just watch out for their assault units cos they get a 4+ doge save and can be equipped to take out big and little nids rather easy.
Of cose I seem to be the only person with dark eldar at the moment so you don’t need to worry to much………. Be more worried about the eldar

the 1st pain token gives them feel no pain, the second one gives them furious charge and the 3rd and last one makes them fearless i think.
