2/6/10 News from the Grand Opening

We had 21 turn up on the night, and all seemed to have a good time
(particularly me as I got a spawny draw in our bloodbowl match versus
the mighty Dave Hall).
Pictures to follow shortly (will forward once I get them)- we
held our AGM and agreed the following:

1. Club will be run Not-For-Profit with at least 90% of and "profits"
   being donated to two local childrens charities, Fair Play for children
   and the CYE Sailing Centre.
   
2. Fees will be £2.50 for members (don't forget your £5 membership fee
   next week please!), £3.50 for non members (£2 for the first visit).
   
3. Steven Homer and Ryan Hodgets were voted onto the committee as
   Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy Tournament / League Directors.
   fanncy title, just means they help organise games etc & help drive
   the club forward.
   
4. Mark and Althea Claridge, venue providers ofr BRGA over the last 12
   years, were granted Life Memberships and Free Entry as a thank you (and
   hopefully to convince them to try playing at the club!).
   
5. We announced a Scenery Building Competition, all entries must be
   donated to the Club Scenery collection, the Prize is a nine figure
   Heresy Games pack from their Sci Fi Range (see http://www.heresyminiatures.com/scifi.htm for
   a preview) includes two Heavy Weapons Troops). Deadline for entries is
   29/06/10.
   
6. Dave Hall won the Mantic Games pack of 50 miniatures, which he
   kindly has donated to the Thrudball auction!
