project lord of the rings

just as it sounds me and tony have desided to start lord of the rings sbg. so far i am working on the mines of moria photos to come. i have a rule book so all ppl need are minis which isnt expensive for gw and the fellowship for example is 750 points so you dont need many minis.

I actually have a few scenarios if anyones interested. "Shelob hunts" is one that I'd like to have a go at.

kool i have some books on making lotr terrian to plus not sure how it sizes up but i have a castle ben and sam may well be in to bettween all of us we should have enough minis to go though all 3 books one day

if this hits off, (which i think it will lol!) could we use some monies to get the sourcebooks/some rulebooks for the club?

I still have those little weekly LOTR magazines* which came out years ago (they don't print them anymore as far as I'm aware) which I think might have basic rules for the basic scenarios that were based on the films, like The Watcher in the Water etc... I'll bring them in on Tuesday.

I suspect that Elvis might have them as well.

Hear hear me and Tony talk on this today. ATM only have up to 17 but the are very good at how to make terrain and do have a basic how to play. But after and hour or so me and Tony have a fairly good understanding of the rules they are so easy. After looking at Ben/sams return of the king book they are really worth getting if we can via eBay etc. I have some gr8 ideas on a league sort of thing will go over it at club

If we could do Peleanor Fields and The Last Alliance that would be FREAKIN AWESOME!

We'd need a lot of miniatures and a lot of participation though.
