Re: Dreadball season one
hehe i already got 16 of each team for the first 3 season from the kick starter
had a few basic games of 8 a side with no MVP's so far and been having lots of fun with it.
due to other commitments i have only painted the rats so far and might hold off till my season 2 stuff turns up but i happy to bring them down for a game soon
might bring them down Tuesday encase i don't have time for a drop zone commander game.
for £30 for a full team of 14 + 2 spare it is a very nice cheap game to get into with friends.
I might be selling on my painted 1st season teams once they are collected as it is season 2 i am really keen on

Re: Dreadball season one
Quick rundown of rules and the 4 existing teams.
All tests are taken on 3D6 and you have to get equal to or better on your relevant stat to get a success on these dice.
You can get dice added or removed depending on your class and other situations but the number you need to roll is never modified.
First of we have player types
guards who cannot catch or though the ball but can beat the hell out of the other team and there most important stat is strength.
Guards can be upgraded to keeps though playing league games and they can boot the ball across the table though they cannot score.
They both get bonus dice for hitting stuff and also extra dice if they moved before hitting.
Strikers are your star players and excel at scoring. Skill is very important to them as it speed as you can only doge. They tend to get bonus dice for catching, throwing and dodging and can make a full move before throwing the ball.
Jacks are capable of doing the job of both the guard and the strikers but not as well. they can move one hex before throwing the ball or smashing into other players but they can come in very handy.
teams start off with 8 team members of a fixed type. You can upgrade your tem to 14 players including MVP and cheerleaders. And can only have up to duple your starting number of team types. So if you are human and start with 2 guards you cannot have more than 4 at any time.
Also you cannot have any more than 6 players on the pitch at a time so any extra team members are on the bench to be called in as other players are taken out.
though this might change in season 3 to allow 3 or 4 teams on the pitch at once.
Humans are all-rounder’s with 4 across the stats and a decent speed.
They have 3 jacks, 2 guards and 3 strikers.
Orx and Goblin. Orx are good at smashing stuff as guards and the Goblins are good at dodging stuff as Jacks but they have no strikers so can be tricky to score.
They have 3 Orx Guard and 5 Jacks to start with.
The Veer-myn are very fast and really very good at dodging but lack skill so you will get plenty of opportunities to score but miss quite a lot.
They have 2 guards and 6 strikers
Forge fathers. Are slow but steady. They suck at dodging but are really very good at smacking the hell out of the other team. Watch your back though as you can only doge if you are slammed from behind.
They have 3 guards, 3 jacks and 2 strikers
There is of course more but that is the basics

Elvis I've got a note on my TO DO list to contact mantic again and get their pathfinder to come in and do a series of demo games ...
Keep nagging me till I get this done (say weekly, on a tuesday) please?
Old and grey I forget a lot...
