6th Edition - Allies?

Yeah, but how reliable are they on the field?
This is probably similar to the allied rules in Fantasy eg. Dark Eldar + Ultramarines = desperate alliance against Hive Fleet Your Mum or whatever.

T1 - You are effectively the same army. ICs can join units of either side, transports can be shared, rules that affect "friendlies" effects both ect
T2 - You are using two separate forces. Each army only effects their respected units, no sharing transports, ect
T3 - Same as above, but if there is an allied unit within 6", roll a d6. On a 1, they do nothing.
T4 - Can't Ally

Each race obviously has different tiers for different races. Wraithlords out of WWP's here I come.

I don't know, haven't seen the rules. If it can be too easily abused, yeah, we might as well just ban it; but we could house rules things like troop choice only, no SC, etc... The thing is, it does sound fun to play, allows to collect a couple of armies and still play them together. Just need to balance it.

Let's wait until we actually get the rules.

I agree mate well said I watched the vid last night while talking to rich and was nearly sick yes I like daemons in chaos guard in chaos and space marines but then u start to think I mean my 1k army was killed by just thunder wolves but give the a storm raven or talon and it just gets alittle silly

It looks as if Tyranids can't ally with anyone.......not really surprised there.

Chaos can have a convienant ally with Imperial Guard, so some interesting scope for cultist/rebel armies.

5 Priests, Eviscerators
4 Infantry squads, 1 Commissar Power Maul, 4 Sergeants Power Maul, 4 Plasma guns, krak grenades

That's a Stubborn Ld10 unit and Feel no Pain with (on the charge) 108 S3 attacks, 25 St5 AP4 attacks, 25 St6 AP2 attacks. They all reroll to hit on the charge. They all got St6 against Vehicles and Monstrous Creatures.

Okay, that's 835 points they can only take one objective at a time, but seriously, that's got to hurt at least a little bit... I might add Straken for Furious Charge if it's too weak...

Sisters have some nice units and I already have Uriah, I might try a "watered down" version (still competitive but not unbeatable).

Come on you all show me your stupid combos !

I may add some kroot to my eldar, beef them up a bit.
and guards men to my grey knights so i actully have something on the board in the first turn Razz and some decent tanks instead of just my nemesis dreadknight. im liking the sound of this allies thing. i would go get the rule book but i am so short on money at the moment
