thanks man. just need to apply some details like squad markings and maybe do an glow effect on the engines and he is done......... annoying i wont get to use him before the new eldar come out as i will be spolt for chose on what to use, thank goodness for allies

Finally got the beast done.

I had forgotten the other weapon options and drones and they are now all done

Also tried my hand at some more Object source lighting and am quite pleased with it

next up is a fire blade and some more work on my coms table. then the air foce

looking forward to the Eldar. the wraithnight is meant to stand 9" or so. to give you an idea the riptide is 5" and the eldar revrent titan is about 12"

Look forward to seeing it in action on games day. Eldar Tau alliance!

I can’t wait either

Seeing as I don’t have an opponent for the knock out next week I am open to a game using my Tau for Tuesday.

Right a few little odds and ends.

Planning on making some Eldar terrain next year (after I have finished painting all my ruddy Eldar……. Well most of them anyway)
And this is the some sketches of ideas.



Next up is the Hex map stuff I mentioned to a few of you last night.
I can create lots of combinations so let me know if anybody feels inspired to run something and needs a map (we can print A1 in colour at work) or have it online.

working on some bases i will try to cast for my wraithguard and Tau pathfinders

got lots on this weekend so just a quick update.

the wraithguard bases as a first run.
the front one is the master the rest are the casts  

they need some love but i like the pitting as it makes them look weathered  

gun drones are now done.



still need to do some fore the suits and human auxiliary.

ok so i thought i would post up my little wall project have been working on for my Tau.
don't worry i am still working on the bases but the corsairs are on hold for the moment till i get a look at the new rules for them when forge world re-release them.

ok so the wall is made from a pot noodle...... pot.... it was a large one from Sainsbury's (not sure if they still make them but look around for a suitable pot).
this stuff is good cos  you can easily cut it with a decent pair of scissors to get the general shape you want and then use the craft knife to make the fine cuts.

in sort i think the walls i created on CAD to get 3D printed would have cost the best part of £70 while this way i get a nice cheap defence line for about £2

it is an idea to cut out a cardboard base to start with for the size you need. the long wall sections are 130mm long and the small sections are 50mm long.
then just glue the bits of pot noodle to it and hay presto you got a wall.






keeping it simple for starters but will play around with more detail at a nother point i think

need to finished off some details and give it a coat of varnish.
once it is all done i will post pics of the whole lot

Ok so I finished it all last night.





The base was just sand glued down with some bits of cut up plastic sprue and then base coated black. Add some extra details if you wish as well.
Then dry brushing grey over the base while painting the walls and extra bits normally.
Once everything has been painted give it some shading effects and then a light dry brush of Gray and then a lighter dry brush of white on the base and you are done.

I have other ideas as a result of this but they are on the back burner for the moment as I got tones to paint at home and these might be a bit large to do at work.

Well I have been playing with the bases and must say I have had some very good results  

The master was made from the Wraithknight shield.


 

Well got the first squad of wraithblades finished at last  

They are all mounted on the bases I cast

My crimson hunter is finished………… pity it can’t hit any darn thing as Elvis can confirm, though I think that was cos all his stuff was red to lol
