40k kill team 2013-A tournament
Ahoy fellow BRGAN's!.as some of you may be aware Elvis and I attended Warhammer world last weekend for their new kill team event. Which was awesome! so awesome in fact that we thought we had to bring it to club. The rules are here below (its the 2013 PDF you want)
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=26200004a
Essentially its 200 pts. One central objective. You get to pick the following
0-2 troops
0-1 elite
0-1 fast attack
Units are purchased as per their codex- ie 5 grey hunters. BUT for the game EACH counts as a separate unit or one man unit if you like
In addition up to three minis chosen by you gets to be a 'specialist' this gives him access to a USR- the choice of which is listed in the rules pack.
Points are scored for a number of in game actions such as forcing break tests or killing enemy specialists.
Possible best of all tho is the fact that your 'leader' gets to roll for upgrades at the end of each game! that carry forward to the next
Games are strictly 30 min affairs with dice down as soon as the 30mins are up.
Not sure as to when we will begin this I'm thinking late January- I think we will need to work it so that everyone plays a total of eight games. After which it can get a bit crazy with upgrades. Any thoughts on how this can work are appreciated, also all those interested please make yourselves known
cheers,
Steve
