Building a new army/armies

Hi guys

I'm going to be starting two new armies this year one for 40k and a fantasy army.

I'm going to do this by easy to collect and paint sections. By this I mean only buying small portions of the army, painting it then moving on to the next section.

For my 40k army I will be doing it in 500pt sections and fantasy 400pts

If anyone is starting any new armies I welcome them to join my way of building an army together and once each section is painted have a game! Then move onto the next section.

My 40k army will be chaos space marines and allied guard (starting with the guard). 500 points to start.

And my fantasy army will be orcs and gobbos (starting with night goblins). 400 points to start.

Of course I don't expect you to start two armies either.

Let me know if you're interested and hopefully we will have some painted armies on the table.

Go for it. Just work on 500 points, it'll soon come together.

Charlie I can set u up with 500 points of chaos for free mate if u get ur butt back to club

i really dont know what to do any more for fantasy or 40k i mean i do enjoy my lizards thoroughly and i think ive put my chaos on the back burner but i dont think nids are that great either tbh then theres the requirement of motivation to paint, which i never have lol

I also have started an ork and goblin army although am using mantic minis already have my first 400 or so points worth so I guess have to motivate myself to paint them now

Cool! I'm going to spend the next two months finishing off my dark elves 2800points, so very nearly there!

Then I will be starting my Night goblin themed army, I'm loving fantasy at the moment.

I'll try this, since nothing else works for me hopfully this will become my army collecting method. Gona start with my high elves (although i need the army book frist )

Well I have chosen Dark Eldar as a small allied force to my Eldar…….. already nearly got 1500 points but that is cos of Christmas gifts and a friend was getting rid of some stuff and it was to good a deal to ignore.

But yes the paint what you got before getting more is defiantly the best way to go with collecting………. I have been doing it for 20 years with my Eldar Tau and marines and now have an insane collection and it is almost all painted.
Also playing games as you go is A) really good motivation to get the stuff painted and B) a good way to see what your force needs.

Have not gotten to paint any of it yet mind you as I got a big commission on to get 140 mantic Dwarfs painting by the end of Jan for clash of kings so that has kept me busy but just 30 to go now so DE up next
Oh and lots of dread ball stuff.

Ok so I got a box load of Dark elves last summer and I picked up a few things my self. I've finally finished 2000 points. I'm not in the next two weeks as I'm on nights but if anyone would like a 2k game in the future that would be great. I'd like to test their mettle against as many races as possible.
