Turn 3
Ok so end of turn 2 sees a big increase of tames with 10, so big thanks you for that.
This is how turn 2 has turned out
Chaos had a big comeback taking a fair bit of land from the Orks but still fighting over the beachhead the nids made into their territory last turn.
Necrons had a shaky turn losing ground to lighting fast responses from both Eldar and imperial forces at the start of the turn but have expanded there domain into the hills north of lords wood. The imperium are well within striking distance of the necron held city of north hold.
Eldar have spread out searching for the relic and while staying clear of the main imperial populated arrears they were unable to avoid imperial forces for long and clashed with them for the first time.
Tau have finally come out of hiding and made a beachhead into Tyranids held territory so be good to see if they can expand on that
The Tyranids are fighting to hold onto their beachhead on the chaos held east coast and have just managed to but seem to have taken there eyes off their west coast defences allowing Tau in.
Imperial forces are relatively quiet and seem to be doing a holding action at the moment. when will the giant awaken and start to kick some bottom.
As this is in some ways a short month I am declaring a state of winter
What this means is that fighting across the world is reduced and as such any faction that does not get to play this month will not lose territory as they have in the past.
There is also no special mission this month but there might well be something next month.

Re: the Regis Campaign Starts 6-1-15
Allies and extra armies.
Mark asked if he could use more than one army in the campaign.
The short answer is no. you can only have one avatar from one faction.
That being said you can use allies from other factions if you wish but you must follow these rules.
As far as I can tell you can use any number of detachments and formation in a bound army list so long as you meet the minimum requirement for each and are within the points limits.
You don’t seem to need to use the allies detachment either as that just seems to be a way to fit in a smaller number of allies.
So you could have 2 imperial guard detachment in the same army so long as you can fill both the HQ and troop requirements for both within the points limits allowed.
But your warlord must be part of a detachment or formation from your chosen codex.
You can have allies from another faction that you are not currently fighting against in that game.
So you could use Eldar and space marines together vs chaos but you could not use Eldar and space marines vs Eldar or marines.
This is also true if you are going to be doing a doubles game but one of the avatars must be chosen as the primary warlord for kill the warlord sub mission though all avatars keep their warlord traits but only apply to the detachment/formation they are part of.
You cannot be allies with someone you are marked as “come the apocalypse” with (sorry nids). This is just to unlikely in the current game environment but you can ally up with the rest so long as you follow the limitations.
Please post any questions on the forum as I am bound to have missed something and best not to leave loopholes.

Please note for the campaign you can only use a lord of war if your opponent agrees to it first as these things are gaming changing and not everyone can deal with them.

Re: the Regis Campaign Starts 6-1-15
Whoopsies, silly me forgot to post this last week. Me and Tony had a 2000 points Fungus people vs Bug things battle. Tony's avatar died and now that I look at it, it was a victory to the tyranids.
Bozgubs boys, those remaining after being shot to dust by the necrons anyways, marched into nearby ruins, the zoppa getting to work at rebuilding the destroyed mechanicks. The busted up vehicles and nasty fings repaired, Bozgub and a gobfull of boyz hopped inside his new stompa, the rest of the boys slumping along or riding in vehicles, went on, looking for a new fight.
Unbeknownst to the Orks, not far from the start of their march, within the ruins, Tyranids of Hive fleet Kraken (I assume they were anyways) were hunting. Led by a winged beast, a hive tyrant, the hordes scurried through the ruins, in search of more bio-matter to get for the hive fleet.
Sensing tasty fungus organisms ahead, the Tyranids went first, stalking through the ruins and flying over rubble to get at their prey. First up, two carnifexes shot forth their weapons into the front of a truck, causing it to go up in a big puff of smoke and flame, the rest of the swarm simply moving into position.
Watching as his new, not so shiny trukk goes up in flames, the ork wierdboy declared from inside the belly of the stompa for his boyz to move forward, deffkoptas whizzing ahead with trails of smoke bellowing from their exhausts. The stompa, towering over the ruins, let loose bullets and shells, several smaller tyranids going up in a delightful bang of goop as the stompa's pilot and gretchin riggers laugh at the popping of the bugs.
The Tyranids were quick to retaliate however, and charging forward, they devoured Ork vehicle and gretchin alike, genestealers rushing from buildings, and monsters flying through the air. Pods dropped down from the skies, unleashing more tyranids upon the Orks. All the Orks could do was respond with gunfire, shells, rokkits and dying, the Stompa managing to catch the hive tyrants wings with a couple of loose shells, bringing it down to the ground in a delightfully messy show.
Soon enough, the rest of the Orks died to the Tyranids hunger, all that was remaining was those within the shell of the Stompa. Standing it's ground and enjoying the fight, it moved around, still unleashing rounds and shells, now out of rokkits. The Orks were enjoying their fight, but the battle had been won to the Tyranids, and so abruptly, after a long and bloody battle, the stompa retreated.

Groovy and thanks for the update . As a heads up only the avatar has to stay the same, his unit can change so you can give the vets melta in one game for example.

Turn 4
The Imperial forces on Regis have taken a server hammering during the winter of turn 3 with defeats.
The east and south are ablaze with battles at the moment.
Despite the valiant attempt by the dark angels to hold the line, both chaos and Eldar are moving in on the City of wolf keep.
In the east Orks have retaken some of the lords forest back form the imperium and are once more moving towards lords hold while in the north east the space wolfs have been pushed back by the necrons who have in turn lost ground to chaos forces.
So far the west is all quite.
Can the imperium take back the lost lands and halt the chaos advance?
Campaign notes!
I have decided to stop the Avatar reward system. lots of people just don’t keep me informed and I have lost track of who has died and who has won what. Not to mention lots of Avatars seem to have trouble surviving 4 games let alone winning them lol.
The rules for making an Avatar still stand however.
battle for Wolfs Keep mission.
Ok here is the mission.
If the imperial forces win more games or equal to than the Eldar or Chaos then they hold them off and keep the city of Wolfs Keep.
If Eldar or Chaos beat the imperium more times than that faction takes the city
In the event that both Eldar and Chaos win more games than the imperium they they must fight a tiebreaker game to see who take the city.

Re: the Regis Campaign Starts 6-1-15
im surprised there was no injury table
e.g
roll a d6
1-flesh wound- character shrugs his injury off and is ok to participate in next battle
2/3- minor wound character is able to fight but with one less wound than normal
4/5- badly wounded character injuries were severe in their last battle but determination sees them at their next fight but with 2 less wounds (minimum 1)
6+ - DEAD, "he's dead jim" as dead as dead can be
obviously things like instant death would add like +3 to the result

Re: the Regis Campaign Starts 6-1-15
First of all, forgot to do last weeks battle report, which was a 2 vs 2, Orks vs Imperium. Imperium won, and Bozgub Squigface died. No imperial warlords died.
This week, it was a 3 man free for all game between my Chaos (led by Alzarak), Ryan's Dark Angels and Blood Angels (led by Company Master Ori) and Sam's Necrons (led by Phaeron Taq'n Veld). The necrons won the battle, however no avatars were killed.
In a thirst for knowledge and bloodshed, the Tzeentch lord Alzarak and his forces marched through the shifting sands of the desert. Preparing for battle at any moment, the mixed ranks of the marines keep up their pace.
On the other side of the desert, slowly rise the legions of Taq'n Veld, the legion of skeletal robots wishing to do nothing but claim land for their regrowing dynasty. Warriors rise and lumber forwards, guass weaponry prepared to destroy anything in their sights.
Numbers thinned and battered after a long battle against a horde of Orks recently, Company Master Ori and his fellow Dark Angels, as well as Captain (insert Blood Angel captain name here) and a small scouting party of armoured Blood Angels conversed about the previous battle. Unfortunately for them, the leaders, engrossed in their discussion of losses and tactics, soon found themselves surrounded, by heretics and fallen from one side, and by legions of the sleepers on the other. Raising their weapons and preparing for a last stand, the Angels braced themselves for combat, Captain no-name calling for reinforcements.
The loyalist scum soon in their sights, Alzarak's forces enthusiastically rush forwards, Havocs getting into position on a high rocky platform and letting rockets fly towards the nearest vehicle, causing minor damage to the Dark Angel's land raider. Raptors, eager for battle, shot their plasma pistols at the Blood Angel's furioso dreadnought, stunning the metal behemoth.
Also noticing the enemies in their sights, the necrons began their advance. Gauss weaponry unleashing upon the Dark Angel's land raider, the tank soon finds itself nothing more than rubble. Looming behind the legions of metallic warriors, was the dark and godly form of a c'tan shard, shadowy form a sign of bad omens to the enemies of the necron.
In retaliation to being attacked, the Angels scatter, their forces split between dealing with the chaotic threat, and dealing with the necron assaulters. Angered at the Raptors feeble attack, the dreadnought charges into the heretics, smashing them to pieces effortlessly. Meanwhile the terminators of the Blood Angels, and marines of the Dark Angels, turn to face the threat of the necrons soon approaching, shooting a few of the metallic wanderers down, but generally just preparing for a bloody battle ahead of them.
The feeling of battle hanging heavy in the air, the chaos continued their path forward, blasting rounds of boltgun fire into the nearest loyalists they could find, as well as lascannons and missles going towards the distant Necron legion. Marching over the corpses of the raptors, the cultists rushed forwards, Alzarak leading the charge into the dreadnought for bloody glory, his chainfist tearing the Blood Angels veteran in twain.
The necrons then showed their true malice, guass weaponry still tearing holes into the armour of the Angels, chaos taking minimal damage in the process, a chaos rhino collapsing under the anti vehicle fire. The terminators soon found themselves in heavy conflict with Canoptecs, wraiths and scarabs to be precise.
Soon, the Blood Angel's much needed reinforcements arrived, appearing at the flank of the necron legion and cutting their way towards the heart of the warriors, Phaeron Veld himself. However, unfortunately for them, after cutting down a unit of immortals, they found themselves soon turned to dust at the hands of Veld, and the Ctan.
The battle went on, blood, pus and scrap metal spilling and scattering among the shifting sands. Soon, locked in bloody combat with a unit of plague marines, Company master Ovi was the last remaining loyalist, however he showed no signs of folly, punching an incoming helbrute with enough force to cause it to explode, engulfing several nearby cultists in flame. However, this battle would not prove to be his last, as the necrons, in a blaze of glory and guass, soon chased the remaining chaos away, allowing Ovi to live to lead another day.
His warriors wounded but not destroyed, Alzarak tapped his chin in thought as he contemplated the events that had occurred in the battle, trying to learn about what went wrong in his confrontation, but relishing in his victory over the loyalist scum. Veld watched as the lesser races retreated before his eternal warriors, those who had slumbered still numbering many, even after a ruthless conflict. Ovi, however, left the battlefield with only memories of fallen comrades, and vows for revenge. His allies and battle brothers blood staining his armour, the heretics will suffer the emperors wrath for their deeds, as will the metallic legion, one day.
On a completely unrelated note, with my warlord, he has the "Gift of mutation" rule. How will that work with the campaign? Will he keep his previous result but not roll gift of mutation again, will he lose his previous result and roll again, or will he keep the result and roll the gift of mutation again. Probably an obvious answer, but would just like to clarify how that will work.

Thanks for the results chaps. For the gifts thing I think we will just say they last for that game for now as Elvis will tell you the chaos gods are fickle lol.
